Sunday

Well we had a great day of worship at Element Church with son Bobby, once again his message in a series on Grace was awesome as well was the praise music. His Canvass project that offers the artists of the Bay area a venue to display their talents was a big success with over 800 folks having the opportunity to view and purchase these works in a one night showing, plus they were shown the hospitality and love of the folks that call themselves the church at Element. Great to hear such different ways to reach a group of folks many of which are unchurched.

We started the morning the usual with Chester blowing his beak around 5'ish then our getting ready for our trip to Tampa for church. The day was another gorgeous one with 50's in the AM and high 70's by afternoon. We stopped off at Subway and had a lite lunch on the way home before heading out to the local nursing home to assist with our bi-weekly church service for those patients. Several were so glad to see us there and said over an over how much they(patient)needed company and the opportunity to worship. Many are all alone in the world and some are in such severe stages of health deterioration. We could relate as we saw how Nancy's dad was going through this final stage of his life; fortunately he passed while at the home of loved ones.

After the nursing home I settled in to watch the NFL playoffs the rest of the afternoon and evening. Both games were really good games but I was shocked to see the Giants beat the 49 niners and surprised the Ravens nearly won that game as well. Oh well as they say on any given day any team can beat another except for our lowly Bucs. Oh well!!!

We are inundated with calls and messages of condolences and we are thankful for all who have expressed their sympathy. The next couple days will be filled with making plans for the return of GG and of course the funeral on Wednesday plus the preparations for out of town families, so we will be busy. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers as well as a dear friend Mechelle, our mountain sister who is under going an operation within her stomach on Monday. LATER
