Saturday

Once again another busy but relaxing day as we started the morning out with a sleep in until around 7 despite big beak Chester next door crowing. We did our quiet times and caught up on some reading then got ready to meet with GG, Eric, Aunt Daryl and cousin Cris. We headed over to Indian Rocks Beach for lunch at Keegan's a seafood house which has been in the neighborhood for years, could even have been centuries when looking at the building but it had high reviews and was even reviewed by the Food Network. I use to play pickle ball with the owners son but they have since sold out and moved on. We tried a house specialty grilled octopus as an appetizer and it was dewisheous. I learned it is soaked in a marinate of citrus juices and a few other spices for 24 hours and then grilled, yikes some of us were pleasantly surprised at the texture and taste. You then dip it in melted butter much like you do lobster. Actually the texture reminded me of lobster as well. I would get that again.

We were surprised at the freshness and the great taste of every one's meal. Daryl had a cup of the she crab soup and grouper bites and said it was very good as well. Most had fried grouper sandwiches except Eric had the triple tail and I had amber jack both were blackened sandwiches. The desserts were were awesome and homemade; key lime pie and derby pie which is pecan pie with a bourbon sauce. Yikes was that awesome as well and we each had a fork full as well. I can see why the restaurant food was rated high while the decor was definitely Florida "cracker". We had a great waiter who was a mountain of info but was in hurricane motion. I want to go back again.

We stopped off at our house on the way back from Keegan's and confirmed Cris and Daryl's flight info for their Sunday departure back to Lancaster, Pa. We sat around and shared stories while the sisters cat napped(GG & Daryl). It was a pleasant day with just enough chill in the air to make it comfortable with the windows closed and by evening the air cooled off once again to where you needed at least long pants on. We headed over to GG's to visit some more and to eat a quick and lite supper of turkey tetrazzini and a salad. We of course set around sipping some vino until it was time to eat once again sharing old family stories and perusing old photos. It was really a fun day sharing family time together as well as eating. GG, Eric, Daryl and Cris were heading out to a concert while Nancy and I cleaned up after supper. There was a lot of history about the family we learned on the Rouse side, very interesting to say the least.

Well we headed home and after the clean up I got ready for an early bed time after being out late most every nite the past 3-4 days. I caught up on some reading and a little business as well. Just a reminder for all of you who use any of the Nutrilite drinks, juices or shakes and the XS energy drinks or the Perfect Water(I just tried the pomegranated and blueberry Perfect Water and I now use it when I'm working out on the pickle ball court and its unbelievable how it restores your body) are BOGO (buy one and get one free)until the end of this month which is Tuesday.
