Friday

Well today was a day of mixed emotions as the morning started much the usual with Chester waking me up around 5'ish, my quiet time then the posting of my blog from the day before until I checked the e-mail and found that Nancy's dad had passed away just after midnight. She was still sleeping so I quickly let all of you know about his passing before giving that info to her. I fixed my usual breakfast of oatmeal and lots of fresh fruit and got ready to head out to the rec as I usually do when she awakened. She handled the news very well as we have been conditioned by this long illness and actually when he went into a coma 4-5 days ago we knew he was gone; so in away it was a blessing that he no longer lingered at deaths door. The fact he had made a profession of faith certainly made his passing so much easier.

I headed out for the rec which gave her time to reflect and gather her thoughts about her dad. After the rec we headed over to her folks house to find some funeral contracts and then we headed to Twill Auto to use their fax machine. Thanks to our friends the Botbyl's for helping us send these much needed documents to Michigan. We headed home afterwards and Amy and the kiddos came for lunch. Sam and I played outside while Amy and Nancy comforted one another sitting in the warm sun in the back yard. I made some calls which seemed to bother Nancy the most with informing those old friends of the family about her dad's passing.

We just idled away here at the house on the phone and Nancy sat in the warm sun on the front porch writing some thoughts about her dad's life. That seemed to help putting these thoughts on paper and will be shared at his funeral service next week. He will be shipped back here to Florida for burial the first of the week as it now stands.

We want to thank ALL of you who prayed for him to accept Jesus as Lord and he did, also for all the kind words and sympathies you have shared for us and our family. Now we just need to keep Nancy's mom, GG in your prayers to also accept Jesus as Lord as well. This will be a tough time for her as she and Pap were married 61 years together. There will be some life changing decisions for her in the next few months as well. Thank You all again for remembering our family, LATER
