Friday

Now I know why people have kids when they are young, 'cause these grand babies plum wore us out. The day was a busy one with lots of going on's. The morning started with the usual 5'ish wake up by Chester next door then a spot of hot green tea , my quiet time then a ride out to the rec on the bike for some 2 1/2 hours of pickle ball. We had a great turnout with some long rallies and lots of wet shirts. The morning temps were really starting to climb upwards from the chilly start and by the afternoon we had windows and doors open to gorgeous weather.

After a quick stop at the library for a couple reads I headed home to water the gardens and get ready for Bobby and family as they were spending the night. They were attending an Amway conference in Clearwater so instead of driving all the way back to Riverview which is a 100 miles round trip they spent the night. We had Ava spend the night with Annsley as they were pals together sleeping together in a tent. They were like a couple jack rabbits and were in constant motion, finally around 10:30 they were worn out or at least we were and settled down. Chester woke everyone up with his 5 AM symphony but thankfully they fell back asleep until around 7 AM.

I fixed cheeseburgers on the grill along with fresh cold slaw made from a cabbage from the garden and Nancy made oven 'taters rolled in fresh rosemary and parsley also from the garden. Wow what a yummy supper that made and there were chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Bob and Jill took off around 5 :30 and came back around 11:00. We watched movies, popped pop corn and let the kids wear themselves out.

Nancy spoke with her mom in Michigan and things aren't improving at all for her dad as his health continues on a downward slide. There are a couple procedures the doctors want to try to alleviate some of the edema buildup but that would require a heart procedure. The decision hasn't been made yet as to try that operation.

Well its Saturday morning and we are getting ready to watch the Annsley and Gabe for the day as both Bob and Jill are off for the whole day at the conference. We are planning on taking the kids to a park in Largo where there is a miniature train; should be another busy fun day. LATER
