Saturday

Wow, what a busy fun filled day spent with our children, grand babies, other grand parents of our grand babies, some church folks, one of our team leaders and a couple unchurched folks all gathered to celebrate Annsley 4th birthday. Yikes the food was great and the little girls had a great time dressed in the mermaid princess outfits.

The morning started with us sleeping in until nearly 7 o'clock. We both did our quiet times then Nancy made eggs and grits and I headed out to the back yard to do some garden work. I have several hundred lettuce seedlings to move out of their seed beds and into bigger pots; seems I thought the seeds were no good and when sowing dumped the packets into bedding pots, well they all germinated so I'm now loaded with tons of seedling of Romaine, Black seeded Simpson and Bibb lettuces. Well I worked on that project for a couple hours before filling up all my containers so I will have plenty to share with son's Booby and Tyler for their gardens. They have the gardening bug as well and we saw Bob's yesterday and it really looks good albeit's rather small.

We headed out for Riverview to Brian and Susan place where the princess mermaid theme pool party was being held in Annsley's honor. Their 2 story place is gorgeous after a complete renovation job of which they did most of the work. We had a grand time in the pool area and Bob and I took the little guys; Sam and Gabe in the water whereas the girls did their thing. It was a little overcast and the humidity had abated so it was pleasant to sit around the screened pool but the water was a little chilly at first.

We decided after the party to let Ava stay with us and go to Annsley house to play the afternoon. We had planned on staying and visiting with Bob and family and then have supper with them while we were there in Riverview. It worked out great and the girls where in their make believe land, Gabey was napping, Bobby had to go and perform a wedding so we chilled until Gabe woke up from his couple hour nap.

I picked up a couple pizzas from Sam's which weren't the best this time but edible so we chilled and played until nearly 8 o'clock before heading out to Seminole. We had quite a coincidencent with Brian and Susan. They had gone to the Pittsburg area as her grand mother who was in her 90's passed on last week and I asked about their trip and the area and he said she was buried in a small town outside of Pittsburg named West Newton; well thats where Nancy was born and raised until around age 5 before coming to Florida, her grand parents are buried in the same cemetery and some of usans uncles new of the Rouse Store that was on Main Street, West Newton, wow!! what a small world. I will post some pics for those who can't wait to see the princess mermaid party, oh by the the cake was unique.
