Saturday

Well it has been extremely windy here since we got back from the mountains and on Saturday night we received strong heavy rains, that should be good for the seeds I planted early in the day. The temps are in the low 80's which has made it pleasant when compared to the 90's when we arrived Friday evening.

Just an update on Nancy's dad; he was still suffering terrible pain from the blockage in his intestines as late as the afternoon when one of the nurses decided to take more drastic steps to help him alleviate the situation and it worked, he finally passed the blockage and almost immediately color came back into his face, the severe pains were gone and he even ate some supper for the first time in days. He still has a ways to go but at least he is some what better and not in such pain, plus Nancy said the terrible smell in his room is gone as well.

I spent the day while Nancy was with her mom and dad at the hospital planting the garden. I sowed 1/2 runner green beans, 3 kinds of lettuces, kale, Swiss Chard, cucumbers and sugar peas as well as more Marigolds and Zinnias. The beets I transplanted look good after only being in the ground for a day as well as my herbs; basil, oregano, parsley and rosemary. Yikes I love these herbs and they so change or add to the flavor of most all dishes.

I took off on my bike to the rec to get in a little cardio workout and then dropped by the library for a couple reads. I spent the afternoon watching football and reading. I fixed marinated chicken breasts on the grill and Nancy made yellow rice and a salad to go with them before going back to the hospital and then driving her mom home for the night.

Just a business update as I'm learning something new almost everyday and I want those of you who are interested to be able to take advantage of some fantastic savings. Amway has partnered up with several businesses such as; Sears, Verizon,Best Buy, Dell and many more. There is a direct discount to those who become IBO's with great savings some I'm seen as much or more than 20%, yikes that's unbelievable plus your buying from yourself so there is even more of a savings. One young couple in our group purchased their cell phones and contracts and saved over 800 bucks for the year. Check it out under the more products headings and pardner stores.

Well its time to get ready to head out to Tampa for worship with our son at Element Church. Come on out if your able and if not find some other church near you for corporate worship today. We have much to be thankful for as Nancy's dad is responding with some improvement and we had a safe uneventful trip back to Florida as many of you remembered us in your thoughts and prayers, LATER ...Thought I would post a few pics from our last afternoon at the cabin.
