Tuesday

The morning had just a touch of coolness with bright sunshine and blue skies. Temp's were in the low 50's and warmed up to nearly 80 degrees by late afternoon. After my quiet time and a lite breakfast of Cheerios I headed off to the Rec. on the bike. There were 6 of us today as several are recovering from injuries, playing golf and working. We had 2 good hours of spirited play with lots of wet shirts.

After the Rec. I watered the garden but the beans, especially 1/2 runners really took a hit and I'm not to sure they will recover. The pole beans are showing some signs of recovery from the frost as well as are the tomato's. Amy and Ava came for lunch so we ate before Nancy got home from shopping for the fellowship meal at church tomorrow. I had to be back at the Rec. for badminton at 1 PM. I met a super nice older couple(in their 70's from Canada) who were great players. My youth and quickness prevailed but they were an absolute delight to play against and the points were very competitive. Hopefully they will be back on Thursday. They both play international badminton tournaments.

Nancy took off for her workout on the treadmill after Amy and Ava left for her afternoon nap. I finished another book called FATAL NORTH. It's a true story about America's excursion into the arctic in the 1800's and how the captain in charge of the expedition was poisoned by his crew on the ship Polaris. Some of the survivors lived on the ice floe for several months and was rescued by a whaling ship. It's a good read with lots of deprivation for the crew and how they managed to survive. A very good read.

Nancy fixed the leftover lasagna from Sunday for dinner along with a fresh garden salad. We met up with the Botbyl's and headed over to the Gispert's house for our weekly Bible study at 7 PM. This was our first week in the book of James. We got back in time to see the last 20 minutes of American Idol. Well will close for now. LATER
