Friday

Wow what a gorgeous day. The temps were nearly to 80 and a slight breeze kept it comfortable. After my quiet time and oatmeal for breakfast I headed out on the bike for the Rec. The cool morning with bright sunshine was definitely a North Carolina morning. We can hardly wait to head back to the mountains. Pickle ball play was fast and furious with a total of 8 players. The Rec. is closed Monday for presidents day so we won't be able to play. Bummer!!!
I stopped off at the library after my workout and picked up several books to keep me busy for the next few days. Amy and Ava came for lunch as well as Annsley and Bobby. Nancy fixed a big tuna fish salad on top of a fresh garden salad along with fresh bakery rolls. Bread that has become my weakness now that I've given up desserts. Wow was that ever good. After lunch we took the girls to Walsingham Park.

At the park we played on the swings and slides. The girls were so funny climbing on the slides and playing with one another. They constantly called each other by name and were so good together. After leaving the park we went by our neighbors horse stables where the girls patted and petted several horses. They didn't seem to be afraid of them at all. We came back and Nancy made chocolate chip cookies and the girls ate their fill as well as Bob and Amy each took a sack home.
Well everyone had to get their girls home for their afternoon naps so by 4 PM the house was empty. It sure was nice to have both kids and grand kids together. I sat out in the back yard and read until dinner time. Nancy made Mahi Mahi for dinner with fresh asparagus and rice. This is another one of my favorite meals.

Well Nancy is under the weather with a cold, nothing too bad; just a runny nose and a slight cough.LATER
