Wednesday

Well it was close to 7:30 when we started the morning. Once again rain was falling and did off and on for most of the day with the totals being over an inch. We did cereal with fruit for breakfast after our quiet times. I did get out in between the rain showers to motor up to the corn patch and once again the cage was empty and there was no new damage. I left the cage once again baited with a fish and since its been raining so much the fish hasn't rotted yet but tomorrow will probably be a day to change baits especially if the sun comes out.

I had dug some fishing worms yesterday so after getting back to the cabin I mentioned to Nancy this is the kind of day the fish should be biting at the lake; so we took off and just as we arrived it once again opened up with a good shower. I brought a rain parka for her and I used an umbrella as we fished. We each caught 2 nice bass which gave us enough for a good supper. Just as we finished up with the bait the sun tried to peak through the clouds but we were out of bait and getting hungry so we headed home. The rain started again as we got back to the cabin. After a peanut butter and banana sandwich the rain lessened enough to where I was able to fillet the bass.

We sat around and read as the rain continued right up to 4 o'clock but we decided since lunch was late we would try to get a hike in to the top of the mountain between the rain showers. The woods were dripping wet with puddles all along the back road but we did the whole hike and even stopped to visit with Joe and Jetta for a few moments. She loaded us up with more fresh 1/2 runner green beans. After getting back I chopped up fresh cabbage with a green pepper and a carrot for Cole slaw to go along with our fried bass and butter(Lima) beans, Yikes was that ever good eatin'.

Well after the cleanup I settled into watch some tennis then Rays Baseball as the rain once again fell. I think this is supposed to happen for a couple more days. We heard from our "mountain mom" Helen today as she is in Hays, Kansas on her way to Colorado with her brother and two sisters, LATER  I need to mention to all of you who read this post that our team leaders for Amway have announced they are extending free shipping to all(customers and IBO's)who purchase at least 30 PV of products.
