Sunday

Well today was a great day of worship at Cornerstone with awesome music and a very profound message on running the race of life. It was good to hug many necks, shake lots of hands and see lots of familiar faces as we took some time together to honor GOD with our presence. It also was another time to celebrate with our Element Church family in Tampa, Florida their birthday of 4 years where our son Bobby is their pastor. May they have many more birthdays together.

Our day started with a 7 AM wake up from a restful night after a full day of good food, fun and fellowship yesterday. The morning atmosphere of fog and overcast skies was quite the contrast from bright sunshine and blue skies of yesterday. The day progressively changed from fog until a light rain fell in the late afternoon and temps didn't get much above 65. Once we got home from church around 1 PM we didn't venture outside the rest of the day. The last of the pasta fagioli soup warmed us up along with the last couple ears of corn on the cob from the garden for lunch. With this rain we may have a few more ears mature but the cooler temps will probably prohibit them from fully filling out. They were sure good what little time we had them and hopefully next year we will learn to get the corn planted a little earlier and fertilize it a little more as well and hopefully keep the raccoons from destroying nearly a 1/4 of the crop.

I tuned into the NFL and saw the Panthers play a good game and saw where the Bucs lost at the end after leading the Super Bowl Champs by 2 touchdowns at one time, Oh well that's the Bucs luck as usual. The Rays also lost 2 in a row to the Yanks and looks as if their chance to make the playoffs is in jeopardy with just a few games left to play. They sure have kept our interest in the game with their team of young players. Well that's about it for the day as Nancy has been on the phone with family and friends most of the afternoon, LATER
