Monday

Well today started around 8 o'clock when our son Bobby called us on his way to the warehouse. It was so warm and snuggly in the warm bed with the outside temps into the high 30's. There was some frost and freezing temps just a little ways from us. After our quiet times we had a breakfast of eggs, grits, toast and of course I sliced a tomato and a jalapeno on top of my eggs.

I ventured out to rake leaves and haul them to my gardens but before I headed out we had some what of a scare. Yesterday on the way to church we noticed an unidentified male walking in our lane. He was a stranger and then again this morning on Face Book we saw a character who had escaped from prison who was serving 3 life sentences for murder and robbery. The male looked a lot like the escapee so I called the local sheriff and he sent out a deputy and we checked all of the cabins and several of the hunting shacks in the area and we found no evidence of any break-ins. We still haven't been able to identify the male walking in our lane, Oh well!

After a late lunch we headed out to the top of the mountain for our daily hike. We saw no one except for Jetta. We stopped and visisted with her and learned today was her birthday. Joe is away so we stayed for awhile and shared a delicious lemon pudding she made. It was after 4 before we got back to the cabin. I then burned the week's trash while Nancy headed in out of the rapidly falling temps. It was 6:30 before we heated up a frozen pizza for supper, LATER
