Sunday

Well it was in the 40's this morning as we awakened around 7:30; and what a beautiful day it was as we started the morning after our quiet times with the boring bowl of oatmeal. We got ready and headed out to Cornerstone Fellowship where our youth and their leaders did the whole service. The house was packed and we were amazed at how good of a job they honored the LORD with their music, dramas, skits and message. Just an awe inspiring day with so many personal testimonies and how their lives have been changed by sharing their faith. After the service we were treated to a spaghetti lunch as a fund raiser for the youth and their mission activities. We hung around and ate a lite lunch with them as we were invited to another church members house to watch football and eat burgers and dogs.

We fellow shipped with the Adams family until nearly 4:30 then headed for the cabin. The temps had warmed up to the high 60's with bright sunshine and clear skies. We took a different route through the mountains and saw some beautiful scenery. The leaves are starting to show some color with this cold snap and the heavy rain from last week. There are lots of leaves already falling without changing colors; whats up with that? Anyhow we took a nice hike to the top and I made it without stopping especially since I had a bite to eat at church and then a couple burgers later in the day. Yeow the apple cake Mechelle brought to the outing was very good, Dewisheous. The only drawback was we watched the Bucs lose a close one to the Cowboys but I learned the Rays swept the Blue Jays, so we are still in the hunt for a wild card spot in the playoffs.

After getting back from the hike I tuned into the Steeler game and saw the Raiders beat them in a close game. Oh well!! It's supposed to drop down into the 30's tonight and there is a chance of frost. Fall is here by the date as well as by the change in the temps, LATER
