Sunday

Well the morning started around 7 AM with temps in the middle 50's. The bright sunshine and blue skies made for an ideal morning. The heavy dew was dripping from the tin roof and the stillness was awesome as we did our quiet times. Afterwards we had a breakfast of boring oatmeal with a little cinnamon and honey. We got ready to head out to Cornerstone Fellowship for worship. Today was a little different as we had a group who call themselves Miracle Made give a concert in music that was as worshipful as any spoken message. They are a family oriented group with their members giving a strong message of the love of Christ as well as did their wives, plus their music was awesome. The whole service was their message and their music.

After worship we headed over to the Pines Restaurant with Mechelle, Kallie and Katelyn for lunch. I had a good meal of chicken stir-fry but Nancy had a bad experience with fresh rainbow trout as it was sour. A local trout farm, one that we have fished many times and delivers fresh fish to the local eateries apparently delivered some sour ones that were nearly spoiled. The restaurant quickly discovered the problem and made it right with another fish which was dewisheous(Ansley). We stopped by the the local Mexican vegetable stand for some fresh peaches, apples and roasted peanuts as well as a couple avocados.

We got home and decided to get in at least one hike to the top of the mountain around 3:30. We saw no one so we headed on back after a great hike. The temps were in the 70's and just perfect for outdoor activities. After getting back we fired up the golf cart and headed over to visit with our "mountain mom" for awhile. On the way we dropped some cherry tomatoes off at Russ and Linda house and visited with them for a short while. They are thinking of maybe leaving here and heading back to Ohio as the for cast is for 6-8 inches of rain around Wednesday from Hurricane Issac.

We had a nice visit with Helen and shared some leftover brownies from last night with her. I'm off all sweets for awhile but I did have some roasted peanuts when we got home for supper. I spent a hour or so watching NFL pre-season on the tube as darkness fell. What a beautiful day with fantastic temps and weather conditions, LATER
