Sunday

Well it was an overcast morning with temp's in the middle 60's as I started the day around 7 AM. After my quiet moments and a bowl of oatmeal spiced up with cinnamon, a peach and a banana we got ready to head out for worship at Cornerstone. Pastor B had an awesome message on listening to what Jesus was saying to us in the parable of the seed and what gets in the way of our response. After the service we headed out to meet up with the Dalton Gang at the River Rock Grille for lunch. They celebrated 18 years together there last night as well. After a lite lunch we headed back to the cabin.

We decided to take a hike to the top of the mountain as we miss our walk yesterday. We stopped off and visited with Joe and Jetta before heading back down. We had to leave around 4PM to head back to the church to help with food preparation for the Phil Chalmers concert that was happening at 6:30. Phil is an author and an expert on the problems teen are facing today. He has interviewed several teen killers and has written several books about what caused them to snap and do what they did. He also gave some great instructions for our youth if ever they were approached by unfamiliar persons and how to possibly save their lives when confronted with sexual predators.

We helped with feeding 75 or more youths and their parents with a spaghetti supper with salad, bread and desserts and then with the clean-up. We got in to listen to Mr. Chalmers give his presentations and found him to be a gifted speaker. Several from the law enforcement community was there as well. After the talk we headed home to find it had been raining lightly until we got home then the skies opened and we had a down pour which was greatly needed. Its Olympic time until its lights out, LATER
