Tuesday

Well once again it was just another spring like morning with a cool breeze from the north which changed to the east and by afternoon we were pushing 80 again. Wow it must the nicest weather ever, however we could use a little rain as I'm watering every day, at least the humidity is low so we can keep the windows open. We had a huge crowd for supper again so the evenings have been filled to capacity.

The morning was much the usual with Chester being a little late as it was after 6 when I first heard him. He and Sam had me in stitches yesterday as Sam played with him through the fence after lunch. Chester would come up to the fence just waiting for Sam to grab his feathers and then Sam would hold on to his tail feathers and Chester would squawk and flop his wings and Sam would laugh and turn him lose and then Chester would come right back for it to happen all over again. That rooster loves Sam and comes right to the fence over and over again, Oh well!!! After my quiet time and a bowl of granola with strawberries I headed out on my bike to the rec for some 2 plus hours of pickle ball. We had a good crowd with 2 courts going most of the morning and lots of wet shirts.

I stopped off and returned some books to the library then headed home as we then headed out to Sam's Club to pick up some goodies. We are having another family supper on Thursday to celebrate son, Bobby's birthday as he will be 31, yikes how did he get that old so fast, anyhow we found a nice sirloin roast which we will fix as that also will be Eric's last night here before flying back to Detroit early Friday morning. After Sam's we stopped at Aldi's for some vino and a few other goodies as well before heading home.

Amy and the kiddo's came for lunch and we had purchased one of those you bake pizza's at Aldi and it was superb, much better than we had anticipated but just great for lunch as the cost was about 6 bucks. We added fresh mushrooms on top and it was so big it fed all of us and I even had to eat the extra piece so I was stuffed, good deal!! After lunch I headed out to the gardens and Sam played with Chester. After they left for their naps I read most of the afternoon until it was time to make a huge salad again from the garden. The lettuces, and kale are just splendid this year, so I once again filled up the big salad bowl as we were having chicken pot pies, rice, beets and green beans from the garden as well. GG, Eric, Betsy, Amy, Tyler and the kids were also coming and we or they finished up the cake, goop and strawberries left over from last night as well.

Amy and Tyler are moving into a different rental house tomorrow and they took off after the cleanup to see the house. Seems they will be renting from an old family friend and their now retired postman so Eric went with them as they were old buddies at one time to see the house. Wow was it ever a fun filled, an another eating evening; thankfully Wednesday evening will be just us and leftovers as this spare tire is really inflating despite my everyday workout. GG seems to be back to her old self and now that we have a new phone system installed in her house we will be able to keep in constant touch. LATER
