Sunday

Well the morning stated out the usual with Chester waking the hood at 5 AM. We managed to shut him off and sleep in until 7 before starting the day. After our quiet times and a lite breakfast we got ready to head to Tampa for worship with the gathering at Element Church. There was a good crowd with lots of new faces and a couple new babies about to born any second, yikes!! I have never seen so many about to give birth gals; don't drink the water at Element. Bobby's message today was about how Element Church was brought into existence, the role of house churches, and our part in the body of the church. The music was awesome and inspiring as well. After the service we headed home with Dan and Carol as we carpooled today.

I had a lite lunch of a roast beef sandwich and then worked in the garden trying to rescue my lettuce seedlings the squirrels dug up while we were at church. Tyler had some chicken wire around his garden and now that they are moving he had no use for the wire so I went over to his place to retrieve the wire. I cut a piece big enough to go over the new seedling which may help keep the critters from being able to dig in an around the seedlings. Hopefully this will deter that action and at least give the new seedlings a chance to get established.

Nancy and I read the afternoon away until it was time for her to pickup GG and bring her over for supper. I cut a skillet full of Swiss chard as well as rosemary and parsley for oven 'taters and then I grilled bone in pork chops. GG had never eaten Swiss chard and she was impressed with its taste; of course that is one of our favorite veggies and it makes a great side dish to any meat or fish entree. The supper was dewisheous(Annsley's). Speaking of Annsley and Gabriel we got to see and love up them for a few minutes this morning at church. They are growing so fast.

Well we settled in to watch the Super Bowl just after eating, we had no horses in the race so to speak so it was just another football game for us but at least it was an exciting one, right down to the last play of the game. We were kind of pulling for the Giants as they are in our league and Eli Manning is a good family guy. The game was one of the best in quite awhile. I still don't think the Giants were the best team in football for the year but they won when they had too and now are World Champions. Just goes to prove the old saying "on any given day any given team can win", except for the Bucs our team. Speaking of the Bucs we have a new coach for next season; a proven college coach from Rutgers University. Sure hope he brings some discipline and excitement to this team.

Well not much else is going on except we are still having fantastic weather with the windows and doors still open for now. It's down into the 60's at night and reaches the 80's for the daytime. I suspect we will be cranking up the a/c again soon, LATER
