Monday

Well it was nice to sleep in this morning although I really needed the workout from pickle ball but I'll be back at it tomorrow at 7:30 AM. Nancy made a great breakfast of buckwheat cakes after our quiet times and of course she put a ripe banana in the batter and instead of syrup I used honey. Now that is some good eatin' folks and good for you as well. The outside temps seemed to get colder as the day progressed as the sun was partially hidden with high clouds and the breeze was out of the north. I still wore shorts all day but eventually put on a long sleeve shirt while sanding and priming a rocking chair and table for Amy and Tyler. I also got a little garden work in as well. Amy and Ava came for a visit after lunch today and stayed until it was her nap time.

After the kids left Nancy and I took off on a long walk through the hood for about an hour and stopped off to see one of our neighbors new 36 foot motor home, yikes is that ever a neat way to vacation but the cost of gas is outrageous as it get about 5 miles per gallon. Anyhow we got back around 4 so we caught up on a little reading before heading over to Amy and Tyler for supper at 5:30. Amy had a chicken roasting in the oven and what a good smell as well as smashed spuds and gravy, fresh carrots and corn. Good eatin' daughter, your a chip off your mommas block!!! After cleaning up and playing with Ava we decided to get in a game of Phase 10. Tyler came out the winner in a close game.

Well not much else is a happening except the out side temps will probably go down in the 40's tonight. LATER.
