Monday

Well we woke to a lite rain falling with some fog in the air as well. It was in the 40's and just a yucky dreary day. After our quiet moments to give thanks and lift those up those we know who need some special considerations by our LORD; we started the day. It was 9:30 before we decided to have egg sandwiches for breakfast. I of course love onion, tomato and jalapeno on toast with a fried egg slathered in mayo; lots of great flavor and too many calories but what the heck it held me until 4 PM when I had a hand full of nuts to go with a glass of red vino.

After breakfast I did the dishes then was up and down the stairs to get a little exercise as well as vacuumed the house then started on inventoring and cleaning the hall closet. We could be real candidates for the show hoarders as I found some articles that we have been saving for at least 5 years or more. Needless to say we pitched many articles and rearranged some so now its easy to get in and out of the closet. That took a couple hours as we battled about what needed to be saved, pitched and given away. It was after 1 PM when we finally decided to head to the local post office to mail grand daughter Annsley's birthday gifts as we miss her party this year.  Wow was it ever foggy and visibility in one area was almost a total white out. We managed to get through the soup at a snail's pace and luckily there is almost no traffic on this road at anytime so the sudden deceleration didn't cause any harm.

After getting back from our post office trip we settled in to read until it was time to start supper. The rain picked up to a steady level and the temp's began to drop as well. I still haven't lit the gas heater as the fore cast for the rest of the week is supposed to be a warming trend with great temps the later part of the week. The cabin is still warm and snugly to me but Nancy has had the oven on for some temporary heat on and off most of the day. I lit a candle which can give off some heat as well as a great smell but she soon tired of the smell which I liked, Oh well!!!

I retrieved a couple bell peppers from the basement that we picked from Joe's patch last week and sauteed them with a sweet onion. We chopped up the left over grilled chicken and made fajitas. Yikes with a little sour cream, Taco Bell sauce and jalapeno pepper for me it sure made for a tasty supper. I once again did the clean up as well as washed and dried the dishes. I was starving for some activity after being cooped up all day in the cabin. I haven't had a hike in 2 days and I'm definitely getting cabin fever, LATER
