Tuesday

Well we awakened to a downpour which lasted once again most of the day as well as heavy fog; yuck we were starting to rust and get cabin fever. Finally around 3 PM the rain ceased and the sun actually made an appearance for a brief  few moments so we quickly donned our hiking boots and headed to the mailbox. It was too wet to chance a hike to the top of mountain but walking in the road made for a pleasant stroll. We visited with Russ and Linda on the way out to the mailbox and then we made an extra trip up past the old Todd place and then down the back trail. We both worked up a good sweat by the time we reached the cabin.

After our quiet times we had a breakfast of buckwheat cakes then settled in to read and once again surf the tube and the computer. After a lunch of leftover chicken fajitas we settled in once again to read until the rain stopped and then we headed out for our hike. Nancy made a pot of vegetable soup and  just before dark we saw the blue skies and bright sunshine for awhile. It looks as if the major rain and front has moved down off the mountain. Tomorrow is supposed to be partially cloudy and no real threat of more rain until next Sunday when another front is scheduled and really cold weather is fore casted to move into the area. Yeow, it seems we will see temps down into the 30's, LATER
