Saturday

Well we awakened around 7 to start the day. It was windy and in the the low 50's and yet there was the promise of sunshine despite some high clouds. It was going to be a busy day as we were expecting our neighbors and friends in the early afternoon and then we were planning on heading down to the Heglars around 5 ish for our annual neighborhood wienie roast.

We started out with a lite breakfast of oatmeal with blueberries after our quiet times then started out with getting ready for Dan and Carol our friends and neighbors from Florida. They will be here a week. We got ready for our friends coming up from Clemmons, the Carlsons to have supper with us and the Botbyls on Sunday afternoon. Nancy was making a carrot cake, spinach casserole and chocolate chip cookies and putting the chicken breasts in a marinade for the Sunday eating.

We managed to get in an afternoon hike after lunch and then settled down to last minute touch ups before our guests arrived. The weather was nice except for the clouds and winds and the threat of rain. Actually we got no rain and although the temps did drop but not as drastic as the fore cast. Its supposed to be in the 30's with cold rain and wind for the next 2 days. Hopefully that fore cast is wrong. Here are a few pictures from the wienie roast. We had some great games of horse shoes and corn hole.

We came back to the cabin just before dark and played a couple game of Phase 10 and 5 Crowns. The boys won both of the games, LATER
