Friday

Well the morning started much the usual with the rooster next door crowing at 5 in the morning then my morning few moments to reflect and give thanks before a lite breakfast of fruit. I headed out to the rec afterwards on the bike for some 2 plus hours of workout on the pickle ball court. There was a decent turnout and of course on Fridays now we have a few of the intermediate players in the line up. A couple of them have moved up to be able to play with the more advanced players. We had a some good play for the most part but more importantly there were a few wet shirts. Afterwards I headed home to do a little garden and yard work before Amy and the kiddos came for lunch.

After lunch my roofer came by and gave me an estimate on refooing both the shingled and flat roofs of the house and he will start on that next week. He is an old friend and fellow church member who has managed despite all the goverment regulations to stay in business. He stayed and visited and we shared stories about old friends who have moved on out of our lives and the area. After he left Amy and the kiddos left for their naps. I managed to get in a 10 minute power nap as well before helping to wash up some dishes for Nancy as she made a pumpkin cheese cake for dessert on Sunday's Easter dinner that is happening here. We will have a house full as well with some out of town family visiting the area. Should be a fun time with lots of overeating; there goes the spare tire.

We rode with Dan and Carol and headed out for Tampa around 4 PM as we wanted to beat the traffic back up on the interstate for the 6 PM service at Element Church. Well as we approached the big bridge it was backed for miles with 4 lanes in both directions so we made a detour downtown Tampa through the heart of the city and made it to the church in plenty of time. There was a nice crowd for the communion service and we were finished by a little after 7 then headed back to Pinellas County. Amy and Tyler came as well with the kiddos so we met up afterwards at Cracker Barrel for a late supper. The food was dewisheous and even though we ate late the kiddos were great. We had a fun time together.

Tomorrow morning Tyler is coming by to help me trim some more limbs from the big oaks that hang over the house. Some of them are high up and rather large so he will help me keep them off the house as I saw them down. The whole gang is coming for buckwheat cakes to the start the morning off as well, LATER
