Sunday and Monday Morning

It was late Sunday night before our guests left after a dinner of spaghetti, garlic bread, salad with homemade Greek dressing(the best) and chocolate cake with white icing. YUMM!! YUMMM!! By the way most of the herbs Nancy used in her sauce were right out of my garden; garlic, oregano and basil. After stuffing our selves we had to wait an hour or more to eat the cake in the mean time we taught them how to play Sequence. They caught on fast(how to table talk), especially the girls and won the first 2 games, so we switched games as their real love is chicken foot domino's. The gals did it again with a convincing win however Andy almost won as the lowest individual score, Kay won out in that department( but we aren't to sure of her ability to count the dots correctly due to "floaters"). We had a grand time and lots of laughs.

Sunday morning was quite subdued at Cornerstone as Pastor B was en route with 28 members to Miami, Fl for a mission trip to a local orphanage. The men's Top Gun ministry led worship in song and in word. We got back to the cabin around 12:30 and had a frozen pizza for lunch. Nancy put her sauce on to cook and I piddled around the yard, on the computer, read and watched a little sports. The Ray's swept the Nationals in a 3 game series..Go Rays. Carson came by on his motorcycle and won his first game of checkers off me, of course Nancy kept reminding me he is 10 years old. I caved!!!

Well we are fixin' to head out to Galax to do some shopping as its raining here. We are meeting Helen and Joe this evening for dessert to finish off the cake. LATER
