Saturday

Woke up to warm temp's in the low 70's with cloudy skies which eventually burned off and became breezy blue skies with a hot sun. After our quiet times and a lite breakfast Nancy and I headed over to Cornerstone to help with the Angel food distribution. The orders have taken a dramatic decline since the bad publicity but we still had over 50 orders and had a great time serving with those who helped out and with those who showed up to get their food. It's an awesome deal no matter what happened with upper management in the program. I think that is all settled now, hopefully.

We came on home and had a quick lunch then took off on our daily hike. When we got down to Roddy and Kathy's house I learned his riding mower broke down so we helped him load it on his trailer then we came home and I took my mower up on top of the mountain and finished mowing his yard. They seemed pleased and I think surprised that we would go out of our way to help.

We picked up Ms Gray at 4 PM and headed to Boggies in Galax for dinner. We had a rib eye, salmon and crab cakes. Every entree was very good and we certainly enjoyed our meal with great service. Thanks Ms. Gray for the father's day treat. We came back to her place for a dessert of sweet potato pie and cinnamon rolls. It was a great evening as we dined and enjoyed each others company and of course visiting afterwards on her front porch.

We got back to the cabin around 7:30 and then Jodie, Gabriel and Carrie(Gerald's oldest daughter) came up to play domino's. Jodie smoked us good, another gal victory although Gabriel was a close second and he won last night. So thanks to Gabriel(who is 10 yrs. old) for keeping the men in the contest. Well everyone just left at 11 PM so its time to hit the sack as we have a full day tomorrow.LATER
