Wednesday Morning

Well Tuesday started out with overcast skies and by mid morning it rained and rained hard at times. So hard it knocked by beautiful tomato plants to the ground and caused several limbs to break off. We had a some strong swirling winds and a tornado was seen in the bay of Tampa(water spout). The morning was much the usual except for the rain with an early wake by the feathered critters next door, my quiet time then a lite breakfast of fruit before heading out on the bike for a couple plus hours of pickle ball. We had a large crowd with 2 courts going all morning a couple folks waiting to get on. A good work out was had by all.

I got home basically dry between the rain showers then settled in to a book by Bill O'Reilly THOSE WHO TRESPASS. It's his first novel and a page turner at that; he reminds me of Grisham's writings. Well the rain finally quit around lunch time when Amy and Sam came. Sam is such a cutie and is exhibiting little people actions. He loves to be read to and also watching monster trucks on the Internet. After they left to pick Ava up from school Nancy took off to the rec to get her workout in and I just chilled reading then headed out to the garden as the sun came out. It's still warm outside but another cold front is heading our way for the week-end. Supposed to get down into the low 40's and even some 30's further in land.

Supper was one of those where it wasn't all that exciting but good for you as we went meatless for a change; baked sweet 'tater and steamed broccoli. We are trying to cut down these spare tires and love handles and get in shape for our mountain hikes in about 3 months. We spoke with our "mountain mom, Helen" and she can't see out her windows as the rain has frozen them over. Their weather is terrible with sleet, snow and freezing rain. The snow hasn't amounted to much but the freezing rain and sleet has everyone in the house by the heater, yuck on that!!!! There is no getting outdoors at all. Well that's about it for this evening as we both flipped channels; she with dance moms and me with the Lightning hockey,they lost again, LATER
