Great Day for Pickle Ball, a Luncheon and Washing Dishes at Church

It was a bit nippy this morning on the bike ride to the Rec. In the 40's once again and it warmed up to the low 70's with bright sunshine. After my usual routine; quiet time, lite breakfast(leftover buckwheat pancakes) and bike ride I got in 2 good hours of pickle ball play with about 14 other players. Thanks for all the wet shirts.

I made it home to harvest tons of greens for a salad for our lunch with most of those pickle ball players at Jersey Jim's pad on Redington Beach. YEOW does he have a cool place. Ocean view with palm trees swaying and a wrap around balcony(2nd floor). One of the nicer places I'm ever been to on the beach(us farmers aren't use to all that opulence(high fluting living). There was a ton of good eatin', yet someone brought a chocolate cake. Thanks again for the neat friendships we are developing not to mention all the good cooks. We are planning another get together around the middle of February before Ken and Karen head back to Tennessee with an evening of finger foods, cheese and wine tasting. Looking forward to that.

After a fun lunch I had to get ready to head to church and help Nancy with the fellowship meal. She fixed ham, potato casserole and green beans with homemade biscuits and red velvet cake for dessert along with a fresh salad. Y......!!! We got out of there after the clean up and serving about 60 people around 6:45.

Will close for now, LATER!!!
