Saturday

Well its certainly was Florida weather all of a sudden; with increased humidity and high temp's into the middle 80's. The a/c is running and will probably be that way until next November as well as the mosquito's are zapping you every time you walk outside. Such is life in summertime Florida. After our quiet times and a couple cackle berries(eggs), grits and toast we got really to head out to the beach. There was a good breeze so it kept the heat from being stifling plus it made for some great rollers(waves). There were several 3-4 footers so I did a little body surfing while getting in some good swimming. The Ross Family came so Ava and myself built sand forts or mounds of sands. Tyler brought their lady bug kite and Ava flew that as well as several other children who were drawn to this beautiful kite with its long tail. Samuel did fine as I brought my beach umbrella and I got it anchored in the sand so he was out of the sun.

We hung out until nearly noon then decided we were starting to charbroil so it was time to head for home. Tyler picked up a couple pizzas and we shared a salad as they came by for lunch and he helped me to finally download all of my pictures from my old laptop. That took a couple hours so we had a grand time playing and visiting. Nancy wanted to watch the Derby so she tuned in to all of the pre-race commentary after the Ross's left for home. I did a little watering of the gardens and read for awhile. I'm reading one of the best written true crime books titled INTERNAL COMBUSTION by Joyce Maynard. It really takes you into every aspect of this modern day upper socio-eco class of people associated with the auto industry in Michigan. It's a must read for how not to let your marriages disintegrate into murder.

We were invited over to Dan and Carol's for supper so we headed that way as the horses were being lead to the starting gate, of course their house is 3 doors up so while the race was being ran we had the salmon on the grill cooking, Nancy made a Caesar salad and a pot of 1/2 runner beans while Carol did a pasta with fresh basil, oregano and tomato's and a cucumber dill sauce for the fish, YUMM was that ever good eatin' and after a game of Phase 10 we had strawberries with whipped cream. I did breakdown and have the berries and cream, sorta reminded me of Wimbledon. We headed home a little before 10 to find out the Ray's lost again to the Royals a second night in a row. They are still the best team record wise in baseball at this point.

Well Sunday is worship day with the gathering at Element in Tampa. Dan and I are going early to share in the prayer time before the service while the girls will join us later. Hope all have a great day today. LATER
