Trout for dinner, Annsley had her first smores, Watched videos of Ava dancing, Balderdash this morning, A Hike and steaks for dinner

Wow, what a busy 3 days since great-grandma Everett ,niece Arianne and Elise arrived. I haven't had much time to blog as we have been on the go. After the last blog the girls got home safely before the nice rain(storm). Thank you Lord for the rain. Last night after the rain I got a nice camp fire(the first) going and Annsley got to experience her first smores and believe me she enjoyed it. Annsley was mesmerized by the fire and had marsh mellow all over herself. We watched videos of Ava doing her dancing routine(Arianne taped her)at grandma's house after we enjoyed a great dinner of fresh trout caught by our super friend and fisherman, Caleb Dalton. Caleb is our 2nd grader who is a superb kid and fisherman. Thanks Caleb and his dad, Andy....

We kind of lounged around and made it an early night so I hit the sack by 10:45 Pm and what a night's sleep.

Wednesday morning brought a wet morning, but not nearly as cool as had been. We had a nice breakfast of pancakes with fresh picked wild blueberries(from our bushes), turkey bacon and eggs. Thanks, Nancy for cooking for all of us. The rain kind of dampen any out door activities so we stayed indoors and played 2 games of Balderdash(a bluffing game) with Nancy smoking us in both games while Jill was a close second. After a quick lunch we took a long hike to the top as the sun came out and really warmed things up. Bob and I managed a few tosses of the football and we played with Annsley. She really fought her evening nap so she was a bit on the fussy side as we all cooked dinner. Once again we had a nice rain shower. Dinner was great as Bob showed his cooking expertise with a fantastic marinate on the grilled Zucchini and steaks. Well its time to start packing and getting ready for a 7AM start back to Florida for Bob, Jill, Annsley and Rook(4 year old Weimeriner) and for Great-Grandma, Arianne and Elise back to Michigan. Later, missing the rest of our family and especially Ava.

Sounds like you had a great time with the troops! I know you hate to see them go! Nothing like some quality time.....Looking forward to seeing you later this summer!
