Getting ready for Annsley, Angle Food Ministry and Games with our neighbors

Tuesday was another 49 degree morning, WOW I love these morning. I don't believe it got much over 70 all day. The morning started out with the usual routine, a walk outside smelling the clean, crisp mountain air; giving thanks for another day and NO deer damage. For you gardeners(pseudo-farmers) the rain was like magic to anything that grows green..... Nancy and I had to be at Cornerstone for a 3 PM commitment to answer phones and take orders for this brand new Angel Food ministry, so our day was centered around being punctual. We were there and probably wouldn't have made any difference if we hadn't shown up at all; as there were no calls and none showed up to order. I think as soon as this is advertised in the local paper(its word of mouth now) the interest will be tremendous. Where else can you get $70 worth of quality food for $30???....... Prior to getting to Cornerstone, I had my ears lowered(haircut) at Kermit's barber shop. He is very slow, but meticulous and Nancy just loves the way it makes me look younger (don't I wish that were true). Nancy had her locks trimmed at Gallery 21(upscale salon) by Brenda who also goes to Cornerstone(keeping it in the family). Then we did some last minute shopping at Lowes's(also waited on by a member of Cornerstone, Patty in the deli) before heading to JB's for a great mushroom pizza. We still had 10 minutes to spare for our commitment....If you will notice the only female to show up was a beautiful doe who was grazing down below the parking lot of the church. She really became upset at me for interrupting her lunch; stamping her front legs and snorting loudly several times before loping off into the pines where she turned around giving me stare and snorting loudly again(just like an interrupted female)...... We stopped and visited Clara Crouse(returning the church keys) and saw her hot tub with all kinds of jets, it seats 5 people comfortable or 10 good friends...... Got home before the sun went down and took a hike to the top ,the air was so clean we could see the parking lot a top Pilot Mountain.....Jodie called and wanted to be tortured again with another card game so she and Gerald came up and that's just what happened. We beat them(boys vs girls) at the only game they won the night before, Spades. The score 500+ to all most nothing, setting them several times. Oh well so much for her threats and butt whuppings...... Ray and Audine came by and we did allow the girls to win at Sequence(its hard to sleep at night when they are crying so loud). Well better go as I have to put the security gates on the stairs up for Annsley(she arrives today and I'm told she is crawling like lightening everywhere),trim and mow the yard, while Nancy puts together spaghetti and meat balls, salad and coconut cream pie while touching up the inside of the cabin. (I just wish these girls would keep busy). Love to all, missing our families and especially our oldest grand daughter Ava.

500+ to almost nothing? Were you at the same table I was? 'Cause the way I recall it, the score was about 520 to nearly 300. The night before we beat you 500+ to ... ummm ... TWO was it? Hahahaha! But I don't want to rub it in. I know you men need your egos stroked or you get all grumpy and barricade yourselves in the bathroom with a magazine.

C U soon.
