Well what a difference a day makes when it comes to the weather. This morning I rode out to the rec on my bike after my quiet times and a breakfast bar for some pickle ball for the first time this week. It warmed up about 20 degrees over yesterday morning and eventually it warmed up close to 70 today. I opened the house up and cut the heat off. We had about 14 or so for a good 2 1/2 workout for the last one this year. The gym will be close until next Monday the third of January 2011. Wow where did this year go???

After getting home from the rec I watered the gardens, did a little hoeing and pulled a few weeds. Right now it seems as if most of the plants will survive because I covered them with sheets and 5 gallon buckets. Amy and the kids came for lunch and I had a great time playing with both Ava and Sam. They took off for home around 2:30 so we decided to postpone our Sam's trip until tomorrow. Nancy had boiled off a large ham to make ham salad for sandwiches as well as froze the broth for a good bean soup later next week. Tomorrow she will make Zuppa soup for our get together with the Ross's and neighbors Dan and Carol for New Years Eve. Looks like there will be some good eatin' as well with some games as we watch the ball drop in Times Square for the year 2011.

Not much else went on except some good spaghetti for supper. LATER
