Sunday and Monday

Well its been eat, eat, eat around here since Saturday. Sunday was a layed back day with no church service so we slept in then headed down to the nursing home where we helped with pushing patients in their wheelchairs to their church service. Many of our regulars where just not feeling well so we had a lite crowd. After getting back I watched our local Buc's beat up on the Seahawks and give themselves at least a possibility with some help from a couple other teams to get into the playoffs. After football I watched our local Lightning hockey team win in a great game over Atlanta. That pretty much summed up Sunday except Amy and Tyler came for homemade vegetable beef soup for supper. Man was that ever tasty on this cold windy evening.

Monday, today it was once again cold and windy down into the 30's with a good stiff breeze. After my quiet time and a bowl of fruit salad I headed out in the truck to the rec for some 2 1/2 hours of pickle ball. We had about 16 players with some really good play. After the rec I stopped off at the library to pick up another read before heading home to uncover my garden from the sheets and then giving it a good watering. I spent the rest of the day reading as it's still to nippy to spend much time outside even though it was sunny. Tyler was having us over for supper tonight as he was breaking in his new Weber gas grille with some Kansas beef, Yikes was that ever good meat and grilled to perfection. Amy had green beans, baked spuds, salad and GG made a pumpkin pie for dessert. We had a grand time playing with Ava and Sam. Not much else going on but when we got home it was 42 degrees at 8 PM. Sure hope those sheets protect my garden. LATER
