Wednesday

Yikes, what a day as we finally got so liquid falling from the sky to quench the dry earth and give some relief to my plants. We had nearly a half inch over several hours. What a good soft soaking rain. The air smelled so clean and fresh as we walked out to the mailbox in the afternoon as it was too wet to hike through the woods. The morning was the usual with quiet times and then a great breakfast of leftover fried 'taters, eggs, grits and toast with black raspberry jam. SOOO good!!

I just spent the biggest part of the day watching the US OPEN until the skies cleared off and we could get outside. We ran up on a large "Blackie" about 4 feet long and big around as my wrist as we hiked out to the mailbox. He or she was a beautiful thing and we like having them around as they ward off the poisonous kind plus they are good rodent killers. I piddled around taking down tomato stakes and transplanting some volunteer tomato plants to take back to Florida for the winter garden.

Tomorrow its back to the doc's for a finger prick and a viscosity check of my blood. The leg seems to be getting stronger everyday and the ache has disappeared for now. Well the Ray's got blown out last night by the very team they blew out the night before. LATER
