Saturday

Well once again we awakened at 6 AM by the dueling fowl but somehow we managed to tune them out until 7 and they didn't awake our little sleep overs. Ava awakened first then Sam. It was quite a contrast from our usual quiet time with 2 little ones running around getting early morning fruit snacks, drinks and a movie on the DVD. Anyhow it was lovely for a change and I know why young folks have kids. Nancy eventually made buckwheat cakes and scrambled eggs and they were good eaters as well. We did get them dressed and got some playtime in before Amy and Tyler came around 9:30. Just before they came Sam ran into the corner of a cabinet causing a crease in his head but after a little ice and he was back playing as if nothing happened.

We got ready after they left to head out to S.F.B.C. for a funeral of an old friend who passed this week. We got to renew lots of old friendships and hugged a few necks. George(the deceased) was in his late 90's and was a pillar in the church. He had slowed way down in later life but was always there as well as his sweet wife, Betty. After the service we headed home for a lite lunch before getting ready for our workout at the rec. I once again did 30 minutes on the elliptical which is an awesome workout complete with a soaking wet shirt while Nancy does 30 on the treadmill. We came home to watch little league baseball before getting ready for our supper out at the neighbors house.

Dan and Carol had us for some awesome steaks, probably the best we have eaten in many moons along with twice baked spuds and asparagus. Nancy made a super fresh garden salad with our home grown 'maters and a loaf of fresh bread. The dinner was excellent and we talked and played a card game until nearly 10 PM. It was fun to hook up again with our long time neighbors and friends. We are hopeful they can get to visit us this year in the mountains but now that she is working again that may prove challenging. Anyhow it was a fun evening with a great meal.

Today(Sunday) we are heading to Element Church in Tampa as one of our house church members will be speaking, teaching as son Bobby is still in Colorado. LATER
