Saturday on Sunday Morning

The morning started out with unbelievable beautiful temp's in the high 60's and eventually reached the middle 70's, Yikes is that not fine?? All most like a N.C. morning. After our quiet times and a hearty breakfast I headed out to the back yard to check on the garden. Well beets are showing some color as they emerge from the ground as well as the green tips of the garlic I brought back from N.C. I had started some garlic bulbs in a pot there and the roots were very strong with lots of runners so I thought I would give them a shot here in the sandy soil of Fl. Well they look good so far. The newly transplanted lettuce and kale looked good as well.

We headed out around noon for Lake Seminole Park where the newlyweds George and Felica where having a reception for the Florida folks who couldn't make it to Texas for their recent nuptials. There was a good turnout at pavilion #12 with lots of food; YAYA's chicken, finger foods, etc. We stayed for a couple hours as the sun was delicious while the brisk breeze in the shade had people putting on jackets. The little ones had a merry time playing. Ava, Phoneix and Madison played hard. It was so nice to be outside without any humidity.

We left the park and made a couple stops at Nancy's folks to pick up tickets for the dinner/concert G/G was singing in that evening. I decided to stay home and eventually was invited to Amy and Tyler's for a new dish Amy was trying from Pioneer Womans Cookbook. Chicken fried steak and gravy, mashed 'taters and green beans. Well that was the best I had ever eaten. Amy sure is becoming a great cook like her mother. After eating I visited and played with Ava before heading back home to finish watching a couple football games. Nancy got back from the concert with her sister and mom around 9:30.

Well we are getting ready to head out to ELEMENT CHURCH in Tampa to support Bobby. We will sure miss our Cornerstone family in N.C. but look forward to next May to be reunited with them again. It will be so good to renew friendships here in Tampa as we have not seen some of them since last May when we headed to N.C. Well will close for now. LATER
