Monday

Hey all, well here we are in the hills of N.C. which was a nice 56 temp this morning and bright blue skies with lots of sunshine. After our quiet times we had a "mountain breakfast"; which was buckwheat cakes with a couple ripe bananas in the batter, fried eggs and Nancy had bacon and I finished the last of the sugar cured country ham I had frozen. Wow that meal lasted me all day except for a bowl of fruit around 1 PM.

We took 2 hikes today which were magnificent and muscle tiring and in between them I did some garden work and transplanted or moved up some mums into bigger pots. Wow I just wanted to stay outside in the clean air. Around 2 we headed out on the golf cart to visit with Helen for a couple hours and we ran into our Sequence buddies(Gerald and Andy) who are painting and caulking her log cabin. Wow it was like old home week. We headed back to the cabin around 4 and did a few other chores before eating a salad and a sweet potato for supper.

After the cleanup we did our evening hike and took a few sunset pics. Yikes were they ever nice. Looking forward tomorrow to watching the Rays play for the division championship as we are having neighbor Gerald for supper and to watch the game. LATER
