Friday and Saturday

Well once again it was just a beautiful morning with temps in the low 70's with bright sunshine and a heavy dew. We opened the windows soon after awakening but had to close them again after lunch as the humidity started to once again visit us. It was still a nice day for what is usually down right HOT. After our quiet times, lite breakfast I jumped the bike and headed to the rec for some 2 hours of pickle ball. Wow was it ever a good workout and will probably be my last PB for awhile unless I can play a little in the mountains with my friends; Gerald, Ted and Craig. Hopefully we can get a few matches in before the snow falls. Yikes did I say snow!!!

We are heading out on Sunday morning to winterize the cabin and maybe get in a little mountain fun with our friends and family there before heading back to Florida for the winter. Nancy's dad has improved tremendously (thanks to all who have lifted him up in your thoughts and prayers) so we thought we had better head out while he can still drive. His swellings have gone away, his appetite has returned and even his demeanor has improved.

Friday after PB I took Nancy's mom GG, Amy, Ava and Samuel and headed to Sams club to stock up while we are gone. We had a good time seeing them save lots of money on those: diapers, paper products, produce and meat. Yikes there is nothing like saving a couple bucks here and there. We picked a pizza for 6 bucks that even the 4 of us couldn't eat at one time, yikes was it ever good. After Amy and the kids left Nancy and I ate leftovers and then took a huge 3 mile walk around the hood. It was beautiful out and we really had a great time. We settled in to watch the MLB playoffs.

Saturday morning found us getting really to head over to Riverview for Annsley 3rd birthday party with the Tinkerbell theme. There were tons of kids, presents and food and we had all 4 of our grand babies together for the second time. Wow was it ever fun and we really got to know several of our Element family members. Amy and Tyler with the kids rode with us and we were back home by 2:30 after a 10 AM start. It was fun and the eatin's were good and Annsley received lots of outfits, toys and games.

Well we started packing, watering gardens and cleaning out the fridge for our 4 AM departure on Sunday morning. We have to stop every 1 1/2 hours to walk for 15 minutes so we hope to be at the cabin before dark. Next week is supposed to be just gorgeous with 70's for the day and 40's for the nights. Bring on Fall as we are excited about; leaf changes, possibility of frost at nights, soups and lots of snuggling, Yeow am I ready for some season's. We will be away from this keypad for a while so tune us in on Sunday night. Missing all whom we have grown to love and like. LATER
