Thursday

The day started out with lots of sunshine and cool temps in the low 60's. After our quiet times and a lite breakfast with wine berries and Cheerios I did a check of the gardens for deer damage. So far so good however; we are getting ready to leave the cabin for the next 8 days so they should have a field day with all the new growth. I weed eated the yard and got a load of laundry going while Nancy got ready to take our morning hike. After hanging the laundry we headed out and all of a sudden the clouds moved in. There were rain clouds all around. We got a little sprinkle as we sat down to lunch so I hurried and pulled the clothes off the line and popped them in the dryer.

After lunch we took a golf cart ride out to get the mail and watched the guys who are cutting timber out near the hard top. They had a tree hung up and when they finally sawed it down three more almost fell simultaneously. That is a dangerous situation. Anyhow, we headed on back and I did a little garden work; tying up tomato plants, pulling weeds and planting my garlic seeds for next year.

Jodi, Gerald and Gabriel came up after dinner and we played 2 rounds of Spades and 1 round of Hearts, well the girls were victorious in all 3 rounds. Its nearly 10 PM so we are going to call it a day. Gerald wants to go play pickle ball in the morning at the high school tennis courts so we will pack for Saturday after that. Daisy wants to come by with her family tomorrow evening as they get into down for the next week. We will be away for a few days as we travel back to Florida on Saturday. Hope to post again over the week end.LATER
