Friday

Well the day started out with cloudy skies but at least it was warm enough to wear shorts outside. I started the day the usual way with a little quiet time and then a lite breakfast before heading out on the bike to the rec for some pickle ball. We had 10 players today with the first hour having just 4 of us playing some great ball. Wet t-shirts were every here. After leaving the rec I headed by the library to pick up a little reading material for this weekend. By the way I just finished an incredible read called A CRIMINAL INJUSTICE by Firstman and Salpeter. A true story that will change the way you look about the criminal justice system and those who are elected to serve us and the life of a 17 year old who was put away for the murder of his parents. This happened on Long Island, New York in 1988. Read it if you get chance. You will never forget what you read about this young man, Marty Tankleff.

Well today 5 years ago our beautiful daughter, Amy married a super great guy, Tyler from Kansas. They have a little girl, Ava and are expecting their second child, Samuel any day. Actually her due date is the first of March but I expect he will arrive sometime this month. We are keeping Ava this weekend as they plan to have a dinner out then take in a late movie.

Wow to all of our northern friends and especially to those in the mountains of North Carolina and Virginia. It seems the ground hog put the jinx on all of you with this latest winter storm. I've seen estimates of up to 30 inches of the frozen white stuff falling from the skies over the next 12 hours. Thanks ahead of time for those of you who will share this winter scene via your pictures on the NET.

I think its my turn to watch veggie tales with grand daughter Ava so I had better go. LATER
