Sunday Morning

Well Saturday turned out to be a wet one starting in the late evening and it poured late into the night. That was a much needed rainfall and looks as if it will continue into today(Sunday) as well. The morning was much the usual with the roosters crowing around 5'ish. We managed to roll over and stay in the sack until nearly 7 AM before starting the day. We had planned on another beach day but since it was cloudy and breezy we decided to catch up on some house cleaning chores as we make the place ready for leaving on Tuesday.

I headed out to mow one more time and do some garden work after my usual cup of tea, a few quiet moments then a lite breakfast. The shower the night before helped in keeping the dust down as I mowed as well as did the clouds make it bearable outside. I still worked up a good sweat before heading in to start with the house cleaning. I did all the fans, lamp shades and then vacuumed while Nancy cleaned out the fridge and the food pantry. We are getting a good start on making the house ready to leave.

We had a lite lunch then I headed to the rec for an hour or so workout on the treadmill with the incline as well as the heavy weights. I stopped off and returned my last book for the season at the library then headed home to watch the Ray's lose big time after winning Friday night big time to the Indians. We got ready after the game and headed to GG's for supper. Amy and the family along with Betsy and Braden came for meat loaf, baked taters', home canned green beans we had brought back from the mountains, salad and Nancy made cinnamon rolls and GG had a pie that resembled a pecan pie and a brownie for dessert. After the cleanup we played about 5 rounds of phase 10 and GG won on the last hand.

Well GG fly's out to Pa. for a 2 week visit with her sister, Daryl and her niece Chris's family, we leave on Tuesday and Amy and family leave on Wednesday for Kansas so we said our good-byes before heading home in a rain storm. Wow did that liquid ever look good falling from the sky as its been unbelievably dry here in what is usually lush and green Florida. It's time to get ready for our last visit to Element Church with son Bobby and his family for awhile. We will say our good-bye's to all of those we have grown to know and love there as well. We have been blessed to have 2 church families and while its sad to leave one we are excited about seeing the other one next week after such a long hiatus, LATER
