Monday

Well it was another morning in the high 60's with lots of clouds and the threat of rain. Actually around 9 it started to rain and we had a nice soft shower for about an hour. After the usual quiet time Nancy made a mountain breakfast of eggs, grits, smoked turkey bacon and toast. After breakfast I strained my bucket of blackberry must and added sugar then carried it back upstairs where its warm for it to cook another 10 days.

The rain stopped so Nancy and I took off on a reverse hike to the top of the mountain where we stopped and talked awhile with Roddy and Kathy before heading back down. It was close to 1:30 so we decided to skip lunch except for some fruit because we were eating early because I had a 6 PM pickle ball match. We just framed around catching up on some little things and reading until it was time to put a couple pork chops on the grille. I snapped our first mess of 1/2 runner green beans and were they ever awesome, their the best bean you have ever put in your mouth and the only bean my grandmother would ever plant and can for the winter.

Pickle ball found us 1 guy short but the 3 of us had a super workout with totally wet shirts after 2 hours of play. Starting at 6 PM was a lot cooler than last weeks 5 PM start. We are hoping to play after church this Sunday afternoon. Well not much else is going today but we have a busy week planned. We got an invite this morning for a Saturday evening cook out on the Little River with some old friends. Well will close for now. LATER
